Net Programmer Analyst Jobs Need an Adventurous Outlet
By Harrison Barnes of http://www.dotnetcrossing.com
In the dot net industry, Microsoft dot net provides the largest dot net framework. They actually created the dot net industry. VB dot net and ASP dot net are simply branches of the Microsoft dot net industry. Net programmer analysts need to know all about the dot net framework and will be analyzing the effectiveness of their applications. Net programmer analyst jobs entail a lot of tedious monitoring and additional assessments of the applications developed for the dot net programmers. They need to know all the inner workings of these applications and of all the potential applications currently in development. If they understand the coding behind these applications, they'll be able to give more detailed critiques for the programmers to help fix any and all bugs they come across. The more familiar they are with these programs and with previous applications, the more easily they'll spot those bugs that need to be fixed. They'll also be handing out and going through user surveys to see what customers say about these products and applications. They'll be judging future applications and current app revisions based on much of the feedback they receive from those customers. If they pay close attention to the details mentioned in these surveys, they'll be more likely to spot bugs in the future that customers would most likely run across in using these products. As an analyst, you'll often be critiquing similar products on a daily basis. You'll most likely come across similar problems and bugs on a daily basis. You'll be able to recognize these right away and know exactly what to call them and how to fix them. You might not fix them yourself, but you'll know who can or will be able to guide the programmers with enough details so they know exactly how to fix the problems. Due to the repetition of your work, you might get easily bored and start looking for other forms of excitement in your life. Many people with desk jobs such as these have an adventurous outlet or need one. Some people simply go home and play video games or watch movies until they fall asleep. They watch movies about people they envy, or people they can make fun of and laugh at as a form of escaping the reality that has become their lives. Once the movie's over, they slip right back into their drone-like state and go to bed. In the morning, they hit the daily grind once again and begin the analysis process over and over again. So if you're looking to become an analyst, you might consider various healthy outlets for your off time. You might take up a hobby like rock climbing or kayaking or some other adventurous sport. This will keep your body and mind active and will provide a great form of catharsis for all the pent up frustrations that come from a life of tedious monotony. Many people with cubicle jobs find these sports to be very therapeutic. Analysts must know the ins and outs of all programs and applications that will be developed and delivered. They need to catch all the minute little details in the programming so they can spot the mistakes and errors and send them back to the programmers to fix them before they're released to the market. This requires a vast amount of schooling and education, so be prepared for some difficult classes to prepare you for a job like this. If you don't think of yourself as the adventurous type and can't picture yourself rock climbing or kayaking or involved in some other extreme sport, you might look for other ways to vent your frustrations. Perhaps playing a musical instrument, painting or doing standup comedy. There are a lot of ways you can find a therapeutic outlet to purge the senses and prepare yourself for another day or another week of pencil pushing work. If you've never been rock climbing or mountain biking, you might be afraid to try it out. But after a few months or years of the same job and the same boring analyses, you might change your perspective on the meaning of life and what you're getting out of it. The problem with this approach, is it might be too late for you when that time comes. Maybe you'll be too old to get your body into shape and will look for unhealthy outlets like drinking or hiring escorts. If you wait until your forty to figure out why your life isn't the life you wanted it to be, it's your fault for waiting so long. There's wisdom in listening to others when you're young. If you get an early start on some extreme sport, then by the time your forty, you'll still be doing it or something similar because you'll be in better shape. You won't have spent the last 15 years smoking and sitting on your butt all day. Net programmer analyst jobs can be tedious. They can involve a lot of stress due to certain deadlines. You might also be on bad terms with the programmers for constantly correcting their work. Nobody likes to be corrected and if someone is constantly getting corrected by the same person, on a daily or weekly basis, it might cause some ill feelings to exist between the two. As an analyst, there's no way around this, other than to establish a friendship with them in the very beginning, or to make sure you're delivering your analysis with concern and care. Once again, if you have a good solid outlet to vent all your own feelings, you'll be in a much better position to develop a good relationship with your co-workers. Your good mood will rub off on them and that will prevent some heated conversations. So it's good to have an outlet. |
