The Age of Volunteers
By Harrison Barnes of http://www.volunteercrossing.com
Today is the age of volunteer jobs. We see charity events and organizations popping up left and right, creating a surge of openings for volunteer professionals. All kinds of big businesses and corporations are jumping on board to show that they too "care" about something besides money. Of course, this is mostly for public relations, but in the end, they are still doing some good, giving back to the world. So if you want to volunteer for a great cause, there are all kinds of new jobs available for you to apply for. Of course, you won't be paid; it's a volunteer job, not a paid job. That's the point. You're simply giving your time to help the world in ways that are feasible to you and your schedule. There are many different causes that people can choose from. Some of them are completely ridiculous and others are very meaningful and important. There are many different medical charities that need volunteers. For example, there are causes fighting cancer, HIV, MS, and others. These are causes that try to raise money to fund researchers who are coming up with cures for these diseases. The ironic thing is people raise money for these research labs then protest their methods of research. Stem cell research has been opposed and protested for a long time, despite the fact that it may very well be the key to curing cancer and many other malignant diseases. There are others protesting all the animal testing. These procedures are necessary to making sure that the chemicals in these drugs won't kill or harm humans when they take them. Before we release a cure to the masses, we should make sure it doesn't kill them in the process. There are also other causes that seem so ridiculous, they might as well be supporting violence or pedophile behaviors. For example, the gay rights movement. This calls for all volunteers to stand up and fight for gay rights. But here's the problem: homosexuality is a harmful addiction, just like pornography or drugs. So when they volunteer to support the cause of gay rights, they're really supporting the justification to allow these people to feed their addictions on a daily basis. They're telling the world that it's ok to give up and stop fighting the urge to be immoral. They're telling the world that these people should embrace their immoral tendencies and feed their harmful addictions. We might as well have organizations that support pedophile rights or rights for violent criminals. People are born with all kinds of human tendencies, and if we were all told that it's only natural to embrace them and to stop fighting them, this world would be a chaotic place. It already is chaotic because so many people already embrace their natural selves. If everybody with violent tendencies embraced those tendencies, we would have a much more violent world than we already have. Many people already embrace those tendencies which is why we see wars all over the world. But there are still many who don't embrace it. There are many who fight it and overcome those tendencies and that's why there is still a large portion of the population that isn't violent. What about sexual tendencies for heterosexuals. There are many guys who would love to have sex with every beautiful woman they see, regardless of whether or not they're married or available. If all guys indulged this fantasy, there'd be a lot more rape going on around the world. There would be a lot more infidelity and a lot more violence that would spawn from that infidelity. There would be more ruined marriages. The fact that we're seeing such an increase in divorce is reflecting the fact that we're already starting to embrace our natural selves more. This is the result of all the gay rights movements telling the world that it's better if you simply accept who you really are and stop fighting it. They don't realize how dangerous that message really is. As soon as everybody does that, we'll all be dead, raped or worse. So even though this is the age of volunteering, we're also seeing a rise in movements that are harmful to us all. We see people volunteering for these terrible causes which means they feel strongly about it. They really want to embrace their addictions. They want everyone else to do it, too. Misery loves company, and there's no shortage of misery in the world today. If you really want to heal the world, you might want to study your history first to see what movements will actually bring about good results. If people only knew the history of homosexuality and its harmful effects on human civilization, they'd realize that we are sealing our own doom when we push for gay rights. We are creating a "brave new world" full of drugs, immorality and numbing the senses. We are destroying the building blocks of civilization: the family units. Once we've successfully and completely destroyed the family unit, there will be nothing left to save us from total destruction as a people. Unfortunately, this means there needs to be volunteers to oppose this movement. It's hard to feel productive when your volunteer work is based around opposing another movement, but it must be done. People need to create a moral movement that contradicts the gay rights movement so people remember what truly matters. You don't necessarily need to create an anti-gay movement, but you should create a moral movement that supports morality and integrity-the very virtues that will contradict the gay movement. By starting a moral movement, you will truly be making a difference in the world. You will be reminding people of what matters most above all other things. Principles! |
